Retirement visas come and go, for Portugal it has served it purpose to bring a lot of retirees and their money to the country but they don’t need this incentive anymore so it’s going away. Other countries are available that still are easy to retire to.
The European Commission has called for the end of such national schemes and this could be the closing down of such golden visa programs in the European Union.
