Easter Week in Mexico

Greetings from the sunny beaches of Yucatán, Mexico! This past weekend marked Easter, bringing with it federal holidays and a festive atmosphere.

Here in the Yucatán beach area, Easter transforms our tranquil shores into bustling hubs of activity. From nearly deserted beaches, we suddenly find ourselves amidst throngs of visitors reveling in the sun and surf. It’s a sight to behold, and I’ve never seen our beaches so vibrant and alive.

In Mexico, Easter is synonymous with beach vacations, drawing crowds from all over the country. Before we made our home here, my family and I used to rent properties away from the coast during these peak times. It allowed us to enjoy the city without the overwhelming crowds and provided fantastic deals on accommodations.

Now, as proud homeowners, we savor the serenity of our beachside retreat during these bustling periods, venturing into the city only when necessary for errands and appointments.

Discover Deals

For those seeking quieter escapes, I recommend exploring destinations slightly off the beaten path. Even a short distance from popular tourist spots can yield significant savings and a more peaceful experience. Our frequent trips to Mérida, just a 30-minute drive from the beach, have resulted in wonderful deals and cherished memories.

City Day Delights

When we do venture into Mérida, we make the most of our time in the city. Our itinerary is filled with delights, from indulgent French breakfasts with steaming cappuccinos to rejuvenating spa treatments and cultural exhibitions like the renowned Banksy art exhibition currently gracing our city.

After a day of exploration and indulgence, we stock up on groceries and retreat to the comforts of home, winding down with a cozy movie night.

Gratitude

Thank you for joining me on this journey. Until next time, may your days be filled with sunshine and adventure.

Warm regards,
